What you will do

  • Define and lead the global medical strategy for the Neuro/Other Rare therapeutic area across the full product lifecycle.
  • Lead a global Medical Affairs organization covering Medical Directors, Medical Communications, U.S. Field Medical Liaison teams, and Integrated Evidence Planning.
  • Oversee evidence generation, including clinical data dissemination, real-world evidence, health economics and outcomes research, Phase IV studies, and investigator-initiated research.
  • Shape scientific narratives, publications, medical education, congress participation, and compliant scientific exchange.
  • Engage with global and U.S. key opinion leaders, academic leaders, professional societies, and external experts.
  • Partner with Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance, R&D, and Global Program Teams on strategy, governance, and execution.

Requirements

  • MD required; board certification or clinical practice experience strongly preferred, with neurology subspecialty training considered ideal.
  • 15+ years of combined clinical, academic, and/or pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.
  • Significant senior Medical Affairs leadership experience, preferably at global or franchise level.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large, multidisciplinary global medical organizations and field-based MSL teams.
  • Deep expertise in the relevant therapeutic area, Medical Affairs strategy, evidence generation, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of FDA and other U.S. regulatory requirements, ethical standards, drug development, executive communication, and external stakeholder engagement.
