Location: Remote in the United States, Massachusetts
Salary: $164,250–$196,500 per year, plus eligibility for the company bonus plan.

What you will do
- Lead proposal response strategy for the Assessment and Psychometrics teams, positioning assessment products for state and district needs.
- Develop and manage proposal response processes, assessment boilerplate, technical documentation libraries, and versioned reference materials.
- Translate psychometric and educational measurement documentation into accurate, accessible proposal text and technical materials.
- Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate proposal drafting, documentation, analysis, and publication workflows, with expert review for accuracy and rigor.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on psychometrics, assessment design, implementation, and technical solutions for state and large-district requirements.
- Prepare publications, technical reports, and conference presentations, and represent at professional assessment conferences.
Requirements
- Doctorate in Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, or a related field, or a master’s degree with relevant K–12 assessment experience.
- Deep expertise in psychometrics and educational measurement, including Classical Test Theory, Item Response Theory, Computer Adaptive Testing, standard setting, scaling and equating, reliability, validity, classification accuracy, and bias and DIF analyses.
- At least five years of technical writing experience with assessments.
- Experience communicating about K–12 digital assessment and learning to district- or state-level audiences.
- Strong analytical, critical, creative, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage concurrent projects and collaborate across departments.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot for proposal development, technical writing, and documentation management.
Nice to have
- Educational publishing proposal-writing experience, especially for state or large-district assessment RFPs.
- Peer-reviewed publications or professional conference presentations in educational measurement, psychometrics, or K–12 assessment.
- Operational K–12 assessment experience, such as test development, standard setting, or technical manual preparation.
- Knowledge of state and national education assessment policies and trends.
