Materials Supervisor 3rd Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, USA; onsite, 3rd shift

What you will do

• Lead daily department operations in a global distribution center supporting manufacturing fulfillment.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, and order accuracy objectives.
• Analyze operational metrics, identify root causes, and implement sustainable process improvements.
• Manage labor, packaging, maintenance, and other departmental operating expenses.
• Plan workforce schedules, assignments, training, and absence coverage with Group Leads.
• Supervise, coach, evaluate, and support the career development of employees while coordinating with Human Resources and staffing agencies.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in large-scale automated distribution, manufacturing, or operations environments with budget responsibility.
• Experience analyzing processes, identifying root causes, and implementing improvements using metrics.
• Experience managing safety programs and working knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance practices.
• Proven leadership, supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of distribution operations, logistics, fulfillment, and facility processes.
• Ability to work in distribution and office environments, lift up to 40 pounds, and operate equipment after required training.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with RF and barcoding systems, sortation, or material-handling technologies.
