Automation Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) (f/m/d)

Location: Aurora, Illinois, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair non-software issues in automated systems, robotic arms, PLC systems, and conveyor systems.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
• Maintain industrial robots, cobots, AGV/AMR systems, vision systems, electrical systems, and manufacturing automation equipment.
• Identify potential failures and maintain stocks of critical components for rapid repairs.
• Suggest process improvements based on developments in automation technology.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to keep automated systems operating smoothly.

Requirements

• Ability to work the 2nd shift.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; an associate's degree is preferred.
• Strong automation experience with a mechatronic background, including electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and automation systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC systems and using preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and physical lifting abilities.
