Senior Quality Engineer (Cypress)

Location: Remote from the Americas; listed locations include Brazil, Uruguay, and Mexico

Base salary: $45,000–$65,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and expand E2E and integration test coverage using Cypress.
• Own the automation strategy, prioritize coverage gaps, and evolve testing approaches as the product grows.
• Manage the full bug lifecycle from triage through production fixes and keep stakeholders informed.
• Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data to review requirements, identify risks, and define completion criteria.
• Perform exploratory testing of web and mobile features across devices.
• Improve quality delivery processes and use AI tools to increase testing output and discover coverage gaps.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience focused on automation-first quality engineering rather than manual test execution.
• Hands-on experience writing, maintaining, and extending automated tests, with Cypress as the current primary framework.
• Ability to read and write code, understand frontend and backend web services, write meaningful SQL queries, and debug across the stack.
• Practical use of AI tools such as Claude Code, browser MCPs, agent workflows, and automation scripts in QA work.
• Strong collaboration and direct communication across Product, Design, Engineering, and Operations.
• Comfort working in rapidly changing environments with evolving tools, service verticals, and product flows.
