What you will do
- Design, negotiate, and finalise annual country workplans with FCDO and government partners.
- Coordinate government stakeholders, FCDO, technical partners, consortium members, and consultants to deliver aligned technical assistance.
- Develop terms of reference, oversee country activities end to end, quality-assure deliverables, and track logframe milestones.
- Represent the programme in senior policy dialogues, donor coordination platforms, and strategic forums.
- Track and mitigate delivery risks while supporting monitoring, evaluation, knowledge management, and reporting.
- Manage country budgets, forecasts, expenditure, cost controls, and value for money in line with FCDO requirements.
Requirements
- Technical expertise in demography, demographic transition, and sexual and reproductive health and rights in Kenya.
- Significant experience leading and managing large, complex donor-funded programmes in Kenya, preferably health or technical-assistance programmes and work funded by FCDO.
- Understanding of donor compliance, reporting, and value-for-money requirements, particularly for FCDO.
- Experience engaging senior government stakeholders, donors, and partners in Kenya, with strong government relationships and networks.
- Strong budget and financial-performance management experience, including forecasting and expenditure control.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and consortium arrangements, with strong communication, partnership management, adaptive programming, and risk-management skills.
