Junior/Intermediate Environmental Scientist or Technologist

Location: Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Canada; work in the Kindersley office with frequent outdoor and field activities.

Compensation: CAD 26.00–37.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead and support simple to moderately complex contaminated site field investigations and reclamation projects.
• Follow and promote workplace safety and technical procedures.
• Supervise subcontractors and make initial field-related decisions based on field data.
• Collaborate with senior technical advisors to deliver high-quality project outputs.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines and budgets and prepare technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and summary reports.

Requirements

• Degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, reclamation, or engineering.
• Knowledge of the Saskatchewan regulatory framework.
• Experience writing technical reports.
• Eligibility for registration in, or good standing with, a relevant professional organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a self-motivated approach.
• Valid, clean driver’s licence with no restrictions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times per day and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience managing assessment, reclamation, remediation, and monitoring projects for oil and gas clients in a consulting environment.
