Jr. Federal AI Engineer

Location: Hybrid remote/onsite in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, United States; ability to travel as required.

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Support the planning and execution of data and AI engagements, including objectives, deliverables, risks, timelines, and client expectations.
• Participate in client workshops and cross-functional innovation sessions to identify opportunities, define problem statements, and design analytical solutions.
• Discover data sources, develop data requests, and support ETL/ELT ingestion and annotation of structured and unstructured data.
• Support analytics and machine learning models through design, training, evaluation, validation, implementation, and delivery.
• Define, monitor, and report business metrics and support reporting processes and dashboards.
• Collaborate on technical delivery, analysis, documentation, testing, and client deliverables.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance required.
• One to three years of experience in artificial intelligence, information technology, and/or data science.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with NLP, machine learning on unstructured data, and/or information retrieval.
• Knowledge of data discovery, preparation, cleaning, model selection, validation, and deployment, plus object-oriented AI coding and production-level software development.
• Experience with distributed computing and big data platforms, cloud infrastructure, RESTful services, frontend technologies, command-line scripting, data structures, algorithms, Linux, and/or cloud environments.
