Senior Maintenance Technician (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Arlington, Texas, United States. The role requires an unrestricted right to work in the United States and includes rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, emergency call-outs, and on-call assignments.

What you will do

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, agitators, heat exchangers, tanks, valves, packaging systems, and other process and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Support chemical blending, material transfer, metering, filling, packaging, and loading or unloading operations.
• Follow EHS and PSM procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined-space entry, hot work, permit-to-work, and energy-isolation requirements.
• Document maintenance activity, equipment history, labor, and parts usage in a CMMS; participate in reliability programs, root cause analysis, shutdowns, turnarounds, and equipment commissioning.
• Perform welding, pipefitting, light fabrication, housekeeping, and 5S activities while responding to failures and process disruptions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Multi-craft maintenance experience covering mechanical systems and at least one additional discipline, such as electrical, instrumentation, or controls.
• Experience troubleshooting pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, seals, valves, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read P&IDs, blueprints, electrical schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of industrial safe work practices, including LOTO, confined-space entry, and permit-to-work systems; a valid driver's license is required.
• Unrestricted right to work for hirify.global in the United States; ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs.

Nice to have

• Technical or vocational certificate or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, instrumentation, or a related field.
• Experience in PSM-regulated chemical, polyurethane, specialty chemical, petrochemical, or process manufacturing environments.
• Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems, VFDs, and process instrumentation.
• Welding certification, millwright certification, or experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or an equivalent CMMS.
• Experience with reliability-centered maintenance and root cause analysis programs.
