Focus on diagnosing electromechanical and PLC-controlled systems, identifying early failure modes, supporting root cause analysis, and reducing utility-related downtime risks.

What you will do
- Maintain and ensure the reliability of industrial HVAC systems, chiller plants, cooling towers, water treatment systems, boilers, steam systems, air handling units, exhaust systems, and environmental controls.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot motors, pumps, fans, compressors, control valves, actuators, instrumentation, electrical components, and basic PLC-controlled utility systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, including inspections, condition monitoring, lubrication, alignment checks, and minor mechanical work.
- Support stable temperature, humidity, airflow, steam, chilled water, and compressed air conditions for production.
- Maintain building infrastructure and piping systems, and support outages, critical repairs, contractors, and vendors.
- Work with Engineering, Reliability, and Operations on systemic utility issues, root cause analysis, efficiency, uptime, safety, and CMMS documentation.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of technical support experience in an industrial environment.
- A two-year technical degree in Industrial Systems or a related machine-maintenance field is preferred but may be replaced by relevant professional experience.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems for preventive maintenance tracking and corrective requests is preferred.
- Ability to work overtime or non-regular hours when needed to support 24/7 operations.
- Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck and Aerial Lift Equipment certifications onsite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues of varying technical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience in extrusion, plastics, web handling, or winding.
- Training or experience in pipefitting, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
- Utilities-related certificates.
