System Maintenance Mechanic (Conveyor Equipment)

Location: On-site in Romeoville, Illinois, United States. Third shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Salary: $27.00–$30.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain machinery and conveyor equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Repair conveyor systems and machinery to minimize downtime.
• Work with mechanical, electrical, and operational controls.
• Disassemble machinery and repair broken parts using hand tools and power equipment.
• Support and advise other maintenance mechanics.
• Perform additional facility maintenance repairs as assigned.

Requirements

• At least three years of conveyor maintenance and repair experience.
• At least three years of electrical controls experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Experience operating material handling and lift equipment.
• Ability to work with outside contractors, use computers, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.

Nice to have

• Electrical Journeyman License.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in unusual positions.
