Test Lab Technician

What you will do

• Set up, break down, monitor, maintain, and document component tests.
• Install seals, shafts, bore plates, test heads, and other test hardware.
• Configure test offsets, oil levels, shaft speeds, temperatures, and pressures.
• Perform data acquisition and logging, oil sampling, seal and hardware measurements, and equipment calibration.
• Program machines using ladder logic and install supporting systems such as pumps, fans, and chambers.
• Order laboratory supplies and equipment while maintaining a clean and efficient work area.

Requirements

• Strong time management and accurate execution across multiple tests running simultaneously.
• Clear, timely communication and a detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated approach.
• General mechanical knowledge, including understanding radial shaft seals and their function.
• Experience reading prints and schematics, using measurement tools, and applying basic dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 65 pounds for short distances.
