What you will do
- Provide professional nursing care within the assigned pulmonary unit.
- Complete nursing histories, initiate patient education, and implement care plans based on patient diagnoses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and evaluate care outcomes.
- Coordinate unit and patient care assignments under supervision and help orient new employees and students.
- Supervise LPNs, nursing assistants, HUCs, technicians, and sitters.
- Follow safety standards, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and serve on unit-based committees.
Requirements
- New graduate status, within the first year of orientation.
- Current Tennessee State RN license required and must be maintained.
- CPR certification required.
- Ability to meet licensing and certification standards established by the issuing authority.
- Full-time schedule of 72 hours per pay period on the night shift.
