Assistant Director & Actuary – Retirement Benefits

Salary: $130,800–$196,200 per year

What you will do

• Provide actuarial advice and services for retirement benefit programs covering employees and financial advisors.
• Prepare, review, and explain actuarial valuations, funded status information, expense projections, sensitivity testing, and other retirement metrics.
• Prepare and present materials for senior management, finance leadership, pension committees, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Support plan design analysis, risk management, funded status monitoring, cash flow projections, and experience analysis.
• Contribute to other actuarial areas such as life insurance, long-term care, disability income, or annuity product pricing, valuation, and modeling.
• Provide guidance on actuarial techniques, assumptions, regulations, reserves, premiums, dividends, and related financial matters.

Requirements

• FSA or ASA designation with active pursuit of FSA designation.
• Enrolled Actuary designation preferred, or active pursuit of the credential.
• At least five years of actuarial experience, including substantial experience with single-employer defined benefit pension plans.
• Experience with retiree medical benefit plans.
• Strong communication skills.
