LIMS Associate, Prenatal (Molecular Diagnostics)

Location: Onsite at the Union City, California lab, with flexibility to work from home or at the Menlo Park site when applicable.

Compensation: total annual compensation of $104,322, including base pay of up to $85,748 per year, semi-annual bonus eligibility, and equity.

What you will do

• Coordinate technology transfers between CLIA laboratory staff and LIMS Engineers for product updates and new workflows.
• Support laboratory operators in resolving LIMS issues and minimize sample turnaround time.
• Triage, escalate, and close technical support tickets where possible.
• Monitor sample queues and follow up on unresolved issues or delays.
• Collect laboratory feedback, identify LIMS improvement opportunities, and communicate recommendations to developers.
• Assist with testing and documenting new LIMS workflow versions while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a biological or computational focus.
• Hands-on laboratory bench experience, including undergraduate research or internships.
• Experience configuring or developing LIMS, productivity applications, or laboratory automations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose advanced technical issues.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in a CLIA laboratory, medical device company, or pharmaceutical company.
• Data analysis experience with Python, SQL, or Excel.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and regulations including CFR 21 Part 11 and ISO 13485.
