TL;DR
Lead Equipment Operator (Rail Operations/Waste Management): Coordinating the safe movement, unloading, and shipment of rail containers while operating rail car movers and reach stackers, with an accent on equipment inspections, maintenance, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Focus on aligning rail cars, positioning containers onto trailers, maintaining safe facility operations, and solving day-to-day equipment and production issues.
Location: Niagara Falls, New York, USA; onsite facility-based role. Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m.; alternating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required.
Pay: USD 25.10–33.37 per hour.

What you will do
- Lead daily operational activities and conduct tailgate and monthly safety meetings.
- Operate a rail car mover to align rail cars for unloading and shipment.
- Operate a reach stacker to remove containers from rail cars and position them onto tip chassis trailers.
- Complete operations logs, review RFID records, and prepare manifests and shipping documentation.
- Perform equipment inspections, minor maintenance, fueling, greasing, cleaning, and facility maintenance.
- Report safety, equipment, production, and operational issues while following environmental and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment, tractors, trailers, or similar industrial equipment.
- Ability to safely drive and back a tractor-trailer combination and maintain electronic records.
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at elevated or overhead positions with required fall protection.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to safety and established procedures.
Nice to have
- Commercial Driver’s License.
- Experience with heavy industrial equipment operations.
