Paid Intern (Photojournalist/Multi-Media Journalist/Producer)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; onsite

Part-time internship for the 2026 Summer Semester, approximately 15–20 hours per week for 15–20 weeks.

KSN is a TV news station of hirify.global offering practical newsroom experience.

What you will do

• Shadow producers, reporters, photographers, editors, and other newsroom staff during the initial training period.
• Shoot and edit video for photojournalism and multimedia journalism assignments.
• Write stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Edit video, stack newscasts, and write broadcast and digital content for producing assignments.
• Cover some sports, including high school football, when shooting and editing video.
• Work 2–3 shifts per week, including possible weekends, early mornings, evenings, and other variable hours.

Requirements

• College junior or senior with multiple journalism classes completed.
• Collegiate experience in news writing is required, including AP Style writing, broadcast script writing, or related assignments.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to collaborate and willingness to learn.
• Ability to coordinate weekly internship hours with a class schedule.

Nice to have

• Collegiate TV production experience.
• Previous print-based journalism or internship experience.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
