What you will do
- Oversee daily branch operations, retail services, staffing, scheduling, and service quality.
- Drive deposit gathering, client acquisition, portfolio growth, referrals, and branch profitability.
- Develop and execute branch strategies with the District Manager and senior management.
- Lead, coach, train, and evaluate employees while supporting career development.
- Maintain operational, audit, security, and regulatory controls, including BSA, AML, Regulation CC, and Regulation E compliance.
- Resolve complex customer issues, reconcile branch accounts, investigate controllable losses, and recommend procedural improvements.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree and 3–5 years of branch management or comparable banking experience; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Proven management experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Knowledge of branch operations, retail banking services, e-commerce, e-banking, and branch banking technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be qualified to obtain a New York State Notary Public license; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Insurance license for the sale of approved insurance or annuity products.
