Lead Gas Inspector

Location: Rocklin, California; support for Northern California teams. Candidates must reside in Northern California or be willing to relocate.

Salary: USD $73.00–$85.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide direct oversight of applicant- and contractor-installed plastic distribution systems.
• Inspect smaller underground projects for compliance with drawings, specifications, and company standards.
• Work independently and objectively within construction teams.
• Communicate professionally with project stakeholders and utility customers.
• Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe work conditions exist.
• Complete and maintain documentation related to certifications and Operator Qualifications.

Requirements

• IBEW 1245 union membership.
• NACE Level II certification.
• API 1169 certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PG&E-required Operator Qualifications.
• Residence in Northern California or willingness to relocate to the area.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work objectively in a construction environment.

Nice to have

• Distribution and plastic pipe/fusion experience.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with ASME B31.8.
