What you will do
- Provide nursing care under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse.
- Complete admission histories, nursing documentation, care tasks, and patient monitoring.
- Support patient and family education and report changes in patient condition to the RN team leader.
- Administer IV venipuncture and parenteral fluids according to hospital protocols.
- Apply infection-control and safety standards and participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
- Assist with orienting new employees or students to unit routines.
Requirements
- Current license from the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is required.
- No prior LPN/LVN experience is required.
- Ability to perform duties in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and approved clinical protocols.
- Education sufficient to meet the requirements of the applicable license or certification authority.
