Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement Operations Development Team Product Owner (PO)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; U.S. travel up to 25%

What you will do

• Prioritize and validate development software for the Engagement Operations team supporting PAE Fires.
• Review systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and provide technical guidance to software developers.
• Set priorities for capabilities and defects with Program Management for each product increment and sprint.
• Provide technical briefings and advise leadership on status, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
• Oversee the Engagement Operations software development team and verify completed work against acceptance criteria.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, science, or mathematics from an accredited college; ABET accreditation is preferred.
• At least 10 years of combined Government or DoD experience.
• Understanding of Engagement Operations concepts, including engagement planning and scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction, and sensor resource management.
• Ability to work directly with Agile software developers and provide development-team oversight.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% within the United States.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and current Engagement Operations implementations in one or more DoD services.
• Previous Product Owner experience on a Scrum team.
