Location: BLIS - Fort Bliss, Texas, United States; onsite work at a military installation

What you will do
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair high- and low-pressure boilers, furnaces, water heaters, steam distribution systems, and pressure vessels.
- Maintain steam pressure and water temperature to support uninterrupted clinical operations at WBAMC facilities.
- Service safety valves and devices in accordance with ASME Sections I and IV.
- Perform annual boiler tuning, combustion analysis, water sampling, chemical testing, and boiler feed-water treatment.
- Overhaul pumps, valves, and related mechanical components; troubleshoot failures and estimate repair time and materials.
- Maintain operational, inspection, and water-treatment records in DMLSS/LogiCole while following OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and Activity Hazard Analysis procedures.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Boiler Operator or Stationary Engineer in a healthcare or similarly regulated industrial setting.
- High school diploma, GED, or higher education.
- Valid driver’s license and qualified Boiler Operator certification or equivalent accredited technical training.
- Knowledge of NFPA, The Joint Commission, and applicable local and state boiler codes.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, work in temperatures from 10°F to 120°F, enter confined spaces, and work on ladders or scaffolds up to 40 feet.
- Must pass a background check for access to the military installation.
Nice to have
- Experience with BAS building automation systems, electronics, software, and high-pressure gas or liquid safety.
- Ability to fabricate items with hand and power tools and repair equipment in confined mechanical spaces.
