Service Consultant (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Memphis, Tennessee — 7771 Highway 64, Memphis, TN 38133

Salary: $12.13–$18.57 per hour, plus commission eligibility

What you will do

• Welcome customers and provide professional, empathetic support throughout the service experience.
• Document customer concerns and create detailed repair orders for technicians.
• Explain recommended repairs and service details, providing timely vehicle-status updates.
• Review completed work for accuracy and prepare customer invoices.
• Process service payments and manage cash transactions responsibly.
• Coordinate workflow and follow environmental, health, safety, and workplace cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal, communication, customer-service, telephone-etiquette, and active-listening skills.
• Ability to interpret and record data accurately and use intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work indoors and outdoors.

• Eligible full-time hourly or commissioned associates can accrue up to 48 hours of sick time annually.
• Vacation eligibility ranges from 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on continuous service.
• Eligible associates receive pay for six scheduled holidays and one floating holiday, with holiday premium pay when applicable.
