TL;DR
Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS SW Development Team Product Owner (PO) (Air and Missile Defense): Prioritizing and validating C2 software development for the TIS team with an accent on track classification, systems engineering concepts, and Agile delivery. Focus on defining product increment and sprint priorities, verifying acceptance criteria through code reviews, and briefing leadership on capability, risk, and mission impact.
Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; US travel up to 25%.

What you will do
- Prioritize and validate TIS team software development.
- Identify and classify tracks in Command and Control software.
- Review systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms, and guide software developers.
- Set capability and defect priorities with Program Management for product increments and sprints.
- Provide technical briefings and advise leadership on capabilities, performance, risks, impacts, and recommended actions.
- Oversee development work, verify agreed acceptance criteria, and participate in code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, science, or mathematics from an accredited college; ABET accreditation preferred.
- At least 10 years of combined Government or DoD experience.
- Understanding of CID in C2 systems, including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR.
- Ability to work directly with Agile software developers and provide development-team oversight.
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time within the United States.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
- Familiarity with current CID measures in one or more DoD services.
- Prior Product Owner experience on a Scrum team.
