Staff Engine Design Engineer - Architect (Internal Combustion Engines)

What you will do

• Design internal combustion engine systems and components for engine and generator products.
• Evaluate designs for performance, emissions, reliability, safety, and cost.
• Perform system calculations, simulations, data analysis, and predictive modeling using Python, Matlab/Simulink, and machine learning.
• Interpret testing results and guide product development through design reviews and technical discussions.
• Develop engine analysis workflows, best practices, and standardized technical reports.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience designing internal combustion engines, engine components, and powertrain systems.
• Experience with Creo or equivalent CAD tools and FEA applied to engine design.
• Knowledge of engine performance, operation, testing, design specifications, and complex component integration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical presentation skills.

• Experience with engine performance development and specification.
• Data analysis, controls, and diagnostic feature creation skills.
• Familiarity with systems-engineering problem solving.
• Experience working with diverse global teams.
