What you will do

• Report and produce accurate news, feature, enterprise, and community stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Evaluate leads, conduct interviews and investigations, verify information, and develop compelling story ideas.
• Write, shoot, organize, and edit news video and copy under deadline pressure.
• Deliver clear, creative, and accurate live shots and on-camera presentations, including ad-lib segments.
• Publish updates and stories through digital and social media platforms.
• Build local sources, hold officials accountable, and maintain an active presence in the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field.
• Two years of on-air news reporting experience preferred; strong collegiate or internship experience may be considered.
• Fluent English, strong reporting, writing, reading, spelling, grammar, research, and organizational skills.
• Clear vocal delivery, camera presence, enunciation, and the ability to present without scripts or teleprompters.
• Ability to operate newsroom computer systems, video editing tools, and camera equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel regularly, carry equipment weighing up to 60 lbs., and work outdoors in extreme temperatures.

• Bilingual English/Spanish ability.
