What you will do
- Operate audio mixes, playback software, consoles, wireless microphones, and stage equipment during live performances and events.
- Complete venue opening and closing procedures, system power-ups and downs, line checks, wireless RF scans, and signal path verification.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain audio equipment, cabling, speaker arrays, and control networks.
- Support technical leads and production teams with load-ins, audio tuning, system adjustments, and tear-downs.
- Keep audio booths, backstage areas, and equipment show-ready, safe, clean, and organized.
- Coordinate daily show tasks with Stage Managers and Technical Supervisors while maintaining operational logs.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional audio experience in live theater, a theme park, or live events is preferred.
- Hands-on familiarity with digital mixing consoles, wireless RF systems, audio playback software, and basic signal routing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional headset/comms etiquette.
- Valid state driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and age 18 or older.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds; climb ladders; work in lifts and at heights from 6 to 65 feet.
- Flexible availability is required for opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and rehearsals.
Nice to have
- Audio-specific training or certifications such as Dante, Q-SYS, or manufacturer training.
- Prior live mixing or track-running experience in a theatrical show environment.
