Registered Nurse, Hospice - Weekends (Hospice)

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care to terminally ill patients in home and hospice settings.
• Assess physical, functional, psychosocial, environmental, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Implement and update individualized plans of care focused on comfort, symptom management, and prevention of complications.
• Educate patients, families, staff, and informal caregivers on disease processes, self-care, and end-of-life care.
• Coordinate patient and family services with the interdisciplinary team and act as a liaison with providers.
• Supervise LPNs and hospice or home health aides, support onboarding, and provide specialized hospice training.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• At least three years of professional hospital or home health experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to hospice, oncology, palliative, or end-of-life care is preferred.
• Current Tennessee RN licensure and CPR certification.
• Valid Tennessee Class D driver’s license, required insurance coverage, and a driving record meeting Covenant Health standards.
• Availability for 12-hour weekend shifts and two 12-hour overnight on-call shifts.
