What you will do
- Define architecture, requirements, and risk management deliverables for complex electro-mechanical systems and subsystems.
- Lead cross-functional teams through trade-off decisions involving customer needs, business goals, technical complexity, and safety.
- Translate customer and business needs into system and subsystem architectures and requirements.
- Coordinate development risk planning and mitigation across critical interfaces.
- Improve and standardize systems engineering processes and documentation.
- Collaborate with verification teams to create test strategies and ensure design inputs are verifiable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of related engineering experience, including demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
- Working knowledge of requirements management and risk management tools and processes.
- Experience working within quality management systems and breaking down complex engineering problems.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to multifunctional audiences.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Nice to have
- At least 2 years of systems engineering experience.
- Experience with surgical devices, procedures, customers, or the medical device industry.
- Product risk analysis experience, including ISO 14971.
- Experience with JAMA or similar requirements management tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering.
