What you will do

  • Define architecture, requirements, and risk management deliverables for complex electro-mechanical systems and subsystems.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through trade-off decisions involving customer needs, business goals, technical complexity, and safety.
  • Translate customer and business needs into system and subsystem architectures and requirements.
  • Coordinate development risk planning and mitigation across critical interfaces.
  • Improve and standardize systems engineering processes and documentation.
  • Collaborate with verification teams to create test strategies and ensure design inputs are verifiable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of related engineering experience, including demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration.
  • Working knowledge of requirements management and risk management tools and processes.
  • Experience working within quality management systems and breaking down complex engineering problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to multifunctional audiences.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Nice to have

  • At least 2 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with surgical devices, procedures, customers, or the medical device industry.
  • Product risk analysis experience, including ISO 14971.
  • Experience with JAMA or similar requirements management tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering.
