Head of Life and Annuities Technology (AI)

Location: Work from home, USA; hybrid or remote environment with frequent travel of 25–50%

Salary: $300,000–$350,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Define and lead the technology strategy for Protection Solutions and Financial Assets.
• Partner with business leaders to shape future-state capabilities that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and scalability.
• Lead a large, distributed technology organization responsible for platform modernization, system stability, cloud, data, and AI initiatives.
• Drive cloud transformation, data integration, AI-enabled capabilities, and performance optimization for cloud-based systems.
• Standardize architecture and technology practices across interdependent systems while ensuring secure, scalable integration.
• Oversee vendors, managed services, insourcing, platform evaluation, demand and capacity planning, budgets, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a global environment.
• Experience leading large, distributed technology organizations and influencing senior executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud and platform modernization initiatives.
• Understanding of business principles, organizational design, change management, and large-scale budgets.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship or employer-of-record immigration support.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
• Expertise in life insurance and annuities platforms, including policy administration and servicing systems.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled capabilities.
• Experience in complex, regulated environments with knowledge of risk, compliance, and security.
