Traveling Pipelayer (Utilities) (Construction and Utilities): Performing physical labor on construction project sites, including trenching, material handling, utility locating, and pipe installation support with an accent on safe excavation, construction plans, grade calculations, and utility infrastructure. What you will do
- Perform strenuous manual labor at construction project sites.
- Load, unload, haul, hoist, handle, and store construction materials.
- Prepare sites, dig trenches, set excavation braces, and clean construction areas.
- Locate and expose underground and overhead utilities before excavation.
- Review trenching requirements and ensure required protection is available.
- Follow safety procedures, report incidents or concerns, and keep supervisors informed of issues affecting project delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 6β12 months of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, and knowledge of construction safety procedures.
- Experience reading construction drawings, interpreting grade stakes, and calculating grades.
- Experience setting up and using a pipe laser and eye-level transit.
- Ability to perform manual work, lift or move up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors near machinery, loud noise, variable terrain, and changing weather.
- Must be at least 18, pass a pre-employment drug test, and be affiliated with or willing to join the union.

- Additional construction experience and familiarity with construction equipment, materials, and supplies.
