Learning and Development Specialist (Semiconductor)

Location: Full-time, on-site position based in Phoenix, Arizona; work takes place in office, classroom, and active project-site environments, with occasional visits to construction or operational areas.

What you will do

• Partner with managers and subject-matter experts to identify department- and position-specific training needs.
• Develop role-based learning pathways covering company fundamentals, safety, technical skills, leadership, and career development.
• Create presentations, facilitator guides, handbooks, job aids, assessments, videos, and other instructional materials.
• Coordinate and facilitate orientation, onboarding, safety, technical, compliance, classroom, virtual, and hands-on training.
• Maintain skill matrices, competency requirements, training calendars, attendance and completion records, certifications, and renewal dates.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, administer learning systems, update content, and prepare reports for management reviews and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or a related field preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in learning and development, instructional design, employee training, or a related function.
• Experience creating professional training presentations, guides, assessments, and instructional materials.
• Knowledge of adult-learning principles and common training-development practices.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and related business applications.

Nice to have

• Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, facilities, semiconductor, technical, safety, compliance, or skilled-trade environments.
• Experience with learning management systems, HRIS platforms, or electronic training-record systems.
• Experience developing competency matrices, career-development pathways, or leadership-development programs.
• Experience delivering classroom and virtual training.
