Transmission and Utilities Project Engineer/Manager (Water and Wastewater)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work

hirify.global is an infrastructure planning and design firm working on water supplies, transportation, disaster resilience, and other community infrastructure projects.

What you will do

• Lead design efforts for water and wastewater transmission and utilities projects.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, studies, and technical reports.
• Seal drawings and reports as required under the Texas PE license.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, status updates, and client communications.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical design activities and direct engineers, technicians, and drafting personnel.
• Support cost estimating, construction contract administration, business development, and implementation of improved engineering methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• At least 4 years of related water and wastewater treatment experience.
• Experience designing pipelines, storage systems, lift stations, and pump stations.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary design teams, assign tasks to EITs, and review their work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively and build relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
