Salary: $89,800–$114,100 per year

What you will do

  • Lead quality investigations into product safety, regulatory compliance, emissions-related defects, thermal events, Engine Problem Reports, and high-risk customer escapes.
  • Drive structured problem-solving, containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, effectiveness verification, and final closure.
  • Lead engine and generator teardown investigations, including evidence collection, failure analysis, reporting, and corrective action tracking.
  • Partner with Legal, Engineering, Regulatory, Service, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Product Management to assess risks and determine corrective actions.
  • Maintain the internal system for tracking safety and regulatory occurrences and ensure investigation records are complete and defensible.
  • Monitor emerging trends and prevent systemic failures through PFMEA updates, control plan improvements, training, process controls, and supplier corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Reliability, Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, or a related technical role.
  • Experience leading structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
  • Experience with product safety, regulatory compliance, field failures, customer escapes, teardown analysis, warranty issues, or high-risk investigations.
  • Experience with engines, generators, emissions-regulated products, electrical products, power equipment, or durable goods manufacturing.
  • Ability to prioritize work, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree or technical certification in Quality, Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, or Reliability Engineering.
  • Knowledge of EPA, CARB, product safety, emissions compliance, PFMEA, control plans, 8D, A3, 5-Why, PPAP, and change management.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, or complex assembly manufacturing.
  • SAP experience.
