Salary: $89,800β$114,100 per year

What you will do
- Lead quality investigations into product safety, regulatory compliance, emissions-related defects, thermal events, Engine Problem Reports, and high-risk customer escapes.
- Drive structured problem-solving, containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, effectiveness verification, and final closure.
- Lead engine and generator teardown investigations, including evidence collection, failure analysis, reporting, and corrective action tracking.
- Partner with Legal, Engineering, Regulatory, Service, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Product Management to assess risks and determine corrective actions.
- Maintain the internal system for tracking safety and regulatory occurrences and ensure investigation records are complete and defensible.
- Monitor emerging trends and prevent systemic failures through PFMEA updates, control plan improvements, training, process controls, and supplier corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Reliability, Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, or a related technical role.
- Experience leading structured problem-solving, root cause analysis, corrective action, and effectiveness verification.
- Experience with product safety, regulatory compliance, field failures, customer escapes, teardown analysis, warranty issues, or high-risk investigations.
- Experience with engines, generators, emissions-regulated products, electrical products, power equipment, or durable goods manufacturing.
- Ability to prioritize work, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree or technical certification in Quality, Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, or Reliability Engineering.
- Knowledge of EPA, CARB, product safety, emissions compliance, PFMEA, control plans, 8D, A3, 5-Why, PPAP, and change management.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, or complex assembly manufacturing.
- SAP experience.
