What you will do
- Support the design, installation, startup, commissioning, and operation of chemical distribution systems.
- Review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, piping layouts, equipment specifications, schematics, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate chemical-system scope with mechanical, electrical, controls, BIM, construction, QA/QC, vendor, and field teams.
- Support inspections, walkthroughs, functional testing, commissioning procedures, system modifications, and maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot pumps, valves, actuators, filters, regulators, tanks, piping, sensors, instrumentation, and overall system performance.
- Maintain engineering documentation, commissioning records, redlines, technical reports, SOPs, and corrective-action documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with chemical, process, utility, manufacturing, or industrial facility systems.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, pressure regulation, filtration, instrumentation, and process equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, in active construction and manufacturing environments and comply with PPE, site-access, safety, and hazardous-material handling requirements.
Nice to have
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor construction.
- Direct experience with chemical distribution, bulk and specialty chemical delivery, hazardous chemical systems, or high-purity piping.
- Experience with equipment startup, commissioning, functional testing, preventive and corrective maintenance, or root-cause analysis.
- Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, HMI, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or similar engineering and process-control tools.
- Experience coordinating with equipment vendors, subcontractors, and field construction teams.
