Registered Nurse, Nephrology Unit (Nephrology)

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, USA; onsite at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. PRN/occasional position with variable night-shift hours and a Tier 1 commitment agreement.

What you will do

• Provide professional nursing care within the nephrology unit.
• Complete nursing histories, initiate patient education, and assess patient and family learning needs.
• Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate plans of care with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Problem-solve patient and unit care assignments, including moderately complex clinical issues.
• Supervise LPNs, nursing assistants, health unit coordinators, technicians, and sitters.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, unit committees, onboarding, and precepting activities.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain a Tennessee State RN license.
• New graduates may apply within the first year of orientation.
• Demonstrated competence in critical nursing skills and age-specific care.
• Ability to follow clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• RNs with one or more years of experience must assess support systems, recommend interventions, evaluate care plans, and precept employees or students as directed.
