TL;DR
A&T Technician II (Aerospace): Performing precision assembly and testing of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical flight actuators with an accent on blueprint-based alignment, dimensional accuracy, and acceptance testing. Focus on diagnosing test failures, completing rework, validating repair models, and documenting replaced parts and completed work.
Location: Onsite in Torrance, California, United States; 2nd shift, 2:00pmβ10:30pm

What you will do
- Perform precision assembly on complex production and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical actuators.
- Adjust and align assemblies using shimming and other blueprint-specified mechanical adjustments.
- Use dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling, gages, and other measuring equipment.
- Perform hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic tests in accordance with current acceptance test requirements.
- Diagnose test failures, recommend or perform rework, and hold problem units for engineering disposition.
- Order replacement parts through RUR and WDS systems and document parts replaced and work performed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical, or electronic assembly experience.
- Assembly experience in the aerospace industry and experience with precision flight actuator assembly and testing.
- Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot mechanical components and test failures.
- Experience with precision measuring equipment, including dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers.
- Basic skills with Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer instructions or training in English; a high school diploma or GED is preferred. FAA drug and alcohol testing program requirements and the ability to possess or obtain a security clearance are required.
