Product Quality Leader (NPD & Change Management)

What you will do

• Own quality performance for new product development, safe launches, VAVE and cost-out initiatives, and product and process changes.
• Lead launch readiness activities, including control plans, inspection strategies, containment requirements, validation, and post-launch monitoring.
• Drive containment, root cause analysis, corrective action, escalation, and customer protection when quality risks or defects are identified.
• Manage quality performance for non-top strategic customers, including customer escapes, chronic issues, warranty trends, and reliability performance.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, service, product management, and operations to improve FPY and reduce rework, scrap, warranty costs, and customer complaints.
• Maintain effective PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, quality alerts, inspection requirements, and process controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, process management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, reliability, operations, product launch, or change management.
• Experience supporting NPD, safe launch, production validation, VAVE or cost-out, or product and process change implementation.
• Working knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, inspection methods, corrective action, APQP principles, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to prioritize work, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with AIAG APQP, PPAP, MSA, capability studies, safe launch, early production containment, or customer protection plans.
• Experience with engine, mechanical, electrical, or complex assembly manufacturing.
• Background in COPQ reduction, warranty analysis, reliability improvement, or SAP.
