Materials Planner (Automotive)

What you will do

• Maintain ERP data for item masters, bills of materials, shipping locations, and inventory parameters.
• Create daily production schedules and ensure production output is accurately recorded in the ERP system.
• Review MRP supply reports and coordinate actions for shortages, past-due parts, engineering changes, and supplier communications.
• Monitor component inventory, perform daily cycle counts, reconcile variances, and support inventory accuracy and turnover targets.
• Track premium freight, supplier-related downtime, debit memos, DMRs, and quality-hold material dispositions.
• Report materials department performance measures and participate in HSE investigations and the 8D problem-solving process.

Requirements

• Experience managing material-planning activities in an ERP/MRP environment.
• Ability to create production schedules and maintain accurate inventory and production records.
• Ability to investigate inventory, customer, and supplier inaccuracies and implement corrective actions.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and report accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies.
• Ability to comply with MMSA procedures and materials-management standards.
