Salary: $60,880–$91,320 per year

What you will do

• Build relationships and communicate with Financial Advisors, Financial Representatives, clients, and internal partners.
• Analyze and appraise life, disability, and long-term care insurance applications, approving, classifying, or declining cases with guidance.
• Conduct financial, medical, and lay underwriting assessments while maintaining mortality and morbidity expectations.
• Manage cases and requirements, obtain necessary information, and support policy placement.
• Explain and negotiate modified or declined decisions with field partners and resolve issues and escalations with guidance.
• Follow underwriting standards, regulatory procedures, and quality, service, and production goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to make independent decisions under established rules.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including tact, diplomacy, resourcefulness, and confidentiality.
• Computer proficiency and experience using various software packages.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in both team-based and independent production environments.
• Strong organization, prioritization, deadline management, attention to detail, and adaptability.
