Operations Support Specialist (Hazardous Waste Operations): Supporting customer site implementations, hazardous waste transportation and disposal, safety and HR compliance, and operational process improvements with an accent on RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations. Focus on coordinating waste manifests and logistics, implementing customer programs, improving service efficiency, and supporting teams across customer sites.
Location: Onsite in North Charleston, South Carolina, United States. Travel may peak at 90%. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do
- Lead new customer contract implementations and provide backfill support for OSS site managers during absences.
- Support site safety operations and act as a liaison with corporate safety teams to maintain compliance.
- Prepare bills of lading and waste manifests, and schedule transportation and disposal of customer waste and recycling materials.
- Identify, coordinate, and implement process improvements that increase program efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
- Serve as the site HR lead and corporate HR liaison while collaborating with leaders and frontline teams on workforce processes.
- Assess customer waste-management equipment needs and support business-case proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a relevant technical field.
- Ability to learn and apply RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations governing hazardous-waste storage, packing, transportation, and disposal.
- Ability to obtain relevant endorsements or certifications, including RCRA and DOT credentials.
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- United States work authorization, successful completion of company physical and drug-screen tests, and participation in the medical surveillance program are required.
