Adjunct Faculty - Public Health

Location: Stephenville, Texas; teaching may take place in person at the Stephenville campus or online.

What you will do

• Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate Public Health courses, including online courses.
• Design and deliver course content, syllabi, assignments, assessments, and instructional materials in Canvas.
• Facilitate student participation, interaction, critical thinking, and academic progress.
• Communicate regularly with students, provide virtual office hours, and offer course-related academic support.
• Evaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain grading, attendance, and academic records.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, accreditation requirements, and Campus Security Authority responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Public Health or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in Public Health or the relevant teaching discipline.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and/or graduate Public Health courses effectively.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to use instructional technologies and learning management systems such as Canvas.
• Appointments are temporary, part-time, assigned per semester, and based on institutional need for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree such as PhD or DrPH.
• Higher education teaching experience, especially online or hybrid instruction.
• Professional experience in public health practice, healthcare systems, health administration, or community health.
• CHES, MCHES, CPH, or another relevant professional certification.
• Expertise in Public Health Policy, Health Promotion, Biostatistics, Program Evaluation, Epidemiology, Research Methods, Health Informatics, Health Communication, or related areas.
