Assistant Merchant - Oral Care and Shaving

Location: Hybrid role based at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts; in-office Tuesday through Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.

Salary: $58,000–$74,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage merchandising processes, policies, procedures, and purchase order activity for assigned oral care and shaving categories.
• Generate financial reports and analyze sales, margin, inventory, and open-to-buy data.
• Provide insights and recommendations on assortment plans, markdowns, price adjustments, and category performance.
• Coordinate with vendors, merchandise, supply chain, operations, and marketing teams to resolve issues and communicate expectations.
• Support vendor selection, meetings, product demonstrations, samples, and promotional events.
• Manage coupons and advertising plans, analyze promotional results, and present conclusions to merchants.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or an operations-related field.
• 1–3 years of professional merchandising or retail operations experience.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
