Assistant Merchant

What you will do

• Support seasonal assortment development, product selection, pricing recommendations, and assortment planning.
• Coordinate new product introductions, product lifecycle monitoring, merchandising calendars, and milestone deadlines.
• Analyze sales, inventory, margin, promotional performance, trends, and key performance indicators.
• Maintain product information, item setup, product attributes, pricing, assortment changes, and merchandising databases.
• Coordinate vendor communications, samples, purchase orders, deliveries, and vendor performance follow-up.
• Prepare reports and presentations, conduct competitive shopping and pricing analysis, and support seasonal planning meetings and line reviews.

Requirements

• Must work in the Dallas, TX office environment.
• Ability to analyze sales, inventory, margin, promotional performance, and market trends.
• Ability to maintain accurate product information and merchandising records.
• Ability to communicate with vendors and merchandising leadership.
• Ability to perform general office functions, including sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
