TL;DR
Enterprise Data & Platform Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Protecting sensitive enterprise data across endpoints, networks, cloud services, and platforms with an accent on data protection controls, secure platform architecture, and regulatory governance. Focus on investigating complex security incidents, designing Kubernetes and cloud guardrails, and improving security controls across infrastructure, identity, data services, and CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Lutz, Florida, United States; hybrid schedule with three onsite days and one remote day, including Tuesdays and Thursdays onsite
Contract salary: $60,000–$80,000 annually

What you will do
- Design and lead data protection strategies across on-premises, cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments.
- Define secure architecture patterns and engineering guardrails for Kubernetes, containers, virtual infrastructure, storage, managed cloud services, APIs, and IaC pipelines.
- Lead investigations into sensitive data exposure, insider risk, control breakdowns, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations.
- Coordinate incident response, forensic activities, containment recommendations, remediation, and lessons learned.
- Translate legal, privacy, regulatory, and business requirements into technical controls, standards, playbooks, and procedures.
- Develop security metrics, dashboards, risk summaries, and executive communications while mentoring junior analysts.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
- At least 5 years of cybersecurity, information security, or related IT experience, with degree-based substitutions available.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, data protection, networking, operating systems, cloud fundamentals, and enterprise threat vectors.
- Experience with SIEM, DLP, or endpoint monitoring tools and interpreting logs from Active Directory, VPN, endpoint security platforms, and cloud environments.
- Ability to independently investigate complex incidents, gather evidence, build timelines, document findings, and communicate risks to executives.
- Experience mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with Security, Infrastructure, Application, Legal, Privacy, HR, Compliance, and business teams.
