Research Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: College Station, Texas, United States; onsite. Restricted to U.S. citizens and requires the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Salary: $3,657.34–$4,583.33 per month, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Monitor compliance with federal, state, Texas A&M University System, and internal research security standards.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a broad-based compliance program grounded in applicable laws, policies, rules, and procedures.
• Identify compliance vulnerabilities and develop action plans to resolve non-compliant areas.
• Recommend compliance guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations.
• Support research security training and subject matter expert review requests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective problem-solving ability, and experience in a complex, system-level organization.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
