Management Associate (Retail Banking)

Location: Garden City, New York; support for various branches and corporate office locations, including weekends and extended hours

Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year

What you will do

• Complete a 6-to-24-month management development program with branch and corporate department rotations.
• Learn teller operations, platform activities, business development, customer service, compliance, reporting, security, and safety procedures.
• Review daily reports and conduct branch audits for adherence to internal procedures and regulations.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate employees while developing a high-performance branch culture.
• Identify customer needs, recommend banking products and services, and resolve customer concerns.
• Lead staff meetings, set priorities, and authorize transactions within designated authority limits while managing fraud and loss risks.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 3–5 years of customer-facing retail experience.
• Proven customer service and sales expertise, leadership ability, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to drive results through coaching and mentorship.
• Willingness to adjust the schedule for branch and corporate office support, including weekends and extended hours.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Supervisory experience and a bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of banking products and services.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• New York State Licensed Notary Public status.
