What you will do
- Operate, monitor and maintain water treatment plants, wellfields and supporting infrastructure.
- Perform planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs on mechanical and process equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and process equipment and support the resolution of plant issues.
- Monitor treatment processes through HMI and SCADA control systems, collect water samples and support laboratory analysis and reporting.
- Support the construction, installation, commissioning and modification of water treatment systems.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors, prioritise operational work and communicate with operations and project teams across Australia.
Requirements
- Experience in water treatment operations, industrial plant operations, field services or a related technical environment.
- Strong hands-on maintenance skills, including confidence with hand and power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process equipment.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and email, plus strong communication and organisational skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance and willingness to travel to project sites across Australia.
Nice to have
- Trade or technical experience in mechanical fitting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC or a similar field.
- First Aid, Forklift, Working at Heights and Chemical Handling licences or competencies.
