Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Romulus, MI; onsite at the Romulus Foam production facility. Midnight shift from 11pm–7am, with possible day-shift training from 7am–3pm before transition.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair production machinery using lathes, drill presses, metal-cutting saws, grinders, and welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to complete repair work accurately.
• Follow work orders and use maintenance department computer systems.
• Participate in the plant emergency response team and complete required training, including Hazwoper.
• Work scheduled overtime, including twelve-hour shifts and weekends, while meeting physical and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Journeyman status in maintenance or equivalent experience in machine repair, millwright, or electrical work.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Experience using metalworking tools and demonstrating welding skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a lift-truck license.
• Ability to lift, climb, balance, and pass required safety and physical tests.
