TL;DR
Part-Time Controller / Senior Accounting Consultant (Accounting and Consolidation): Supporting consolidated accounting, intercompany activity, tax strategy, and close and reporting processes across a multi-entity organization with an accent on technical accounting, reconciliation, and reliable analysis. Focus on overseeing intercompany eliminations, maintaining consolidated trial balance models, reviewing balance sheet activity, and supporting ERP migration and Business Central reporting.
Location: Remote within the United States; business travel as needed. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship.
Compensation: $40–$50 per hour, based on experience and scope.

What you will do
- Oversee intercompany eliminations, accounting, and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Support Canadian tax strategy, deferred tax assets, and cross-border loan activity.
- Operate and maintain the consolidated trial balance model with the finance team.
- Review accounting policies, balance sheet accounts, and month-end close activity to identify discrepancies and risks.
- Develop and maintain the Chart of Accounts for the Canadian entity.
- Support the Loomis accounting transition and provide ad hoc technical accounting, reporting, and financial analysis.
Requirements
- CPA required; significant senior-level finance and technical accounting experience may also be considered.
- 8–15 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, including review of trial balances, intercompany entries, and balance sheet activity.
- Experience in a multi-entity or multi-brand environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and influence senior leaders without direct authority.
- Permanent United States work authorization without employer sponsorship is required.
Nice to have
- ERP implementation or migration experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Background in media, marketing services, advertising, agencies, or professional services.
